Bleh..
As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm in the myst of exam season right now, my Graphics exam infact. I'm currently preparing for my second day of practical exam, for which I chose recreation and more spesificly, music. If I'm honest I wanted to do video games, but I've linked two other projects to that topic in one way or another.
Well anyway, I'm going to be doing two or three pieces and I thought as my first is now finished, I would share it right here!
Click for the Bigening
My first piece, as seen above, is an album cover. Please ignore the stupid title, I don't know what I was thinking...I wanted something to do with the torn look of it all and that was the only thing that I could think up. I intended to use a style simular to cubism to make my main picture on the album and I believe I managed it pretty well. Well anyway, tell me what you think!
I have two more pieces to go (Depending on my time management) so maybe I'll stick them up here too! Anyway I better get on with finishing my sketchbook that I need to hand in at the same time..laters.

What you are currently staring at, in disbelief and confusion, is artwork that was released earlier in the week which has confirmed a new Mortal Kombat game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Most importantly it confirms that due to the fact Mortal Kombat staff ran out of new characters to beef up the games, they have ordered in some help...and by God, none of us were expecting DC to answer the call!
So far the characters confirmed by Midway are; Sub Zero and Scorpion on the side of MK (Big suprise there...) and for team DC we have thier trademarked poster boys, Batman and Superman (Again, its a shocker). Another startling fact about this latest bout is, according to several sources, Ed Boon stated that the game would have no fatalities. Your kidding me, right? Mortal Kombat is not Mortal Kombat without fatalities!
Now, Mortal Kombat is not the first game to have these weird and wonderful cross overs, oh no.
Solid Snake
Snake seems to love to hide in boxes and now and again save the world. But he also has a nack of appearing in some games of games that make you say "..Come again?". He tends to pop up in alot of mascot themed games and rightley so, Snake is one of the best known gaming mascots around! His biggest and most notible cameo was likely Smash Bros. Brawl.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic is a spikey blue fellow who has major hyperactive problems. Segas mascot and fan favorite has been around since 1991, and was my hero when I was growing up. Sonics 2D games were classics which touched a generation. When he finaly broke into 3D however, it didn't go over as well. Sonic and Nintendos Mario have always been rivals in the hearts of every 90's kid, many playround arguement was raged over them, and in 2008 they finaly had a chance to duke it out in Smash Bros. Brawl.

Ciaossu. Jay here.
As you can probably see this is my first blog post on this, my shiney new green blog. I'm not new to blogging, I've started blogging sites here and there only to lose interest, but this time I have promised myself that I will see it through.
Anyway, as my header states, my blog will revolve around gaming, graphics and my life in general if I deem it exicting enough. Today I'm going to prattle on a tad about graphics!
Graphic design is the process of comminicating visually using text and images to present information.
I am currently studying Graphics and dream of drawing, designing and photoshopping for a living. I will be updating this site often with my latest workings or update on how my current projects are going, which I hope you will enjoy viewing...just keep in mind I'm no genius or anything, I'm just a beginner!

My computer groans and splutters, my internet sometimes explodes, but at least my new graphics tablet works great. I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun (Interesting name, no?) which I love and is great fun to use. I used to to do my profile picture if you want a gander.
Another little thing I've been hitting up on my board is a picture of the Pokémon Charizard due to my love of the Pokémon Trainer character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.

True its not finished yet, but I'd say its looking pretty good so far. I'd love to hear what you have to say about it so, leave a comment if you can.
Thats it from me, later.
